SURVEYS and sketch plans
FEE: £175.00
DATE: 18 April 2012. 31 Oct 2012
Surveys and sketch plans
- Preparing a sketch plan
- Students take a measured survey
- Drawing the survey to scale
An interior designer must know how to take a survey and prepare working plans. Plans are not always available and it is often necessary for interior designers to take a survey of a property or individual rooms. This drawing will then form the blueprint for a plan to be drawn to scale. Students will be shown the key principles involved to draw a sketch plan and how to record the information.
This practical day is suitable for those conversant with scale plans and allows students to measure a space, recording all the measurements on their sketch plan before finally drawing the plan to scale on the drawing board. This final drawing forms the foundation for all further design work. An ideal course to follow this day would be FREEHAND sketching.
