Ivy House Design School Location

Ivy House Design School is situated just off Walcot Street, the designated artisan and designer quarter of Bath. Walcot Street is home to many diverse and unusual individual designer outlets including Walcot Reclamation, antique mirror suppliers, glass blowing studios, upholsterers and gourmet food shops.

The School is located within a superb period building 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Bath. The studios are light and airy and have been designed to offer students a contemporary and creative environment for their studies. During the course of their studies, students have full access to the extensive in-house library and the full range of sample books used within the practice.

Travelling by car

Bath is just 10 miles from Junction 18 of the M4 motorway running direct from London and Heathrow. There are also excellent motorway links from the North and Devon and Cornwall via the M5 motorway, and Wales is just a short drive west on the M4. Just follow the signs for the city centre.

Travelling by train

There are regular train services direct from London Paddington and Waterloo to Bath, with an average journey time of around 90 minutes. Bristol Temple Meads, just 15 minutes away by train, is also a major hub for travel to all other parts of the country. For further information on rail travel, visit www.nationalrail.co.uk

Travelling by air

Bristol International Airport is just 15 miles from Bath. The Bristol International Flyer express coach service travels between the Airport and Bristol Temple Meads train station every 20 minutes during the day, and there are frequent train services between Bath and Bristol. For travel to Bath from Gatwick Airport or Heathrow Airport, a regular coach service runs from Gatwick via Heathrow to the train station at Reading, where you can pick up a direct train to Bath. Alternatively, an express train service from both airports goes direct to central London, where you can use the Underground to travel to Paddington Station and then catch a direct train to Bath.
